There are Troodon on the main continent in the NW Territory as well. During a past Ice-Age, a land bridge had formed that connected the NW Territory with both the Northern Continent and Gigante's "Forest of Night." As such, the life would be similar. After being cut off for a few million years, the inhabitants would have evolved to become more suited for the specific environments. The genus for many animals would remain the same, but are classified as different species.
For example, in the NorthWest Territory they would just be called Troodon. In the Forest of Night, they are Night Troodon. On the Northern Continent they are known as Ice Troodon.

Frozen Forest Located on the Western part of the continent, the Frozen Forest is composed of various trees that have grown to survive in a land of almost constant ice. Although it is frozen most of the time, during the summer months the frost melts to reveal vibrant green colors. Troodon Plains and Tundra Ranging from frozen plains to hills littered with the remains of an ancient glacier, the Troodon Plains and Tundra cover the majority of the Northern Continent. A few colorful flowering plants bloom during the summer months when the ice melts. Frosty Lake A large central lake, Frosty Lake remains frozen over the majority of its surface during winter, only to thaw for the brief summer. The variety of life in the lake is small, but due to its cold temperature the inhabitants live long lives and some grow to large sizes. Mount Clew An isolated group of mountains in the south-central part of the Continent, Mount Clew is a popular site for hiking. A river forms by the ever-melting ice caps, which are constantly renewed by underwater springs.
